State and Federal Law Mandate that employers must post the required notices at most work sites. Failure to post the required notices may result in an employer being found in violation of State or Federal Laws and subject them to penalties up to $7,000. More than 22 States (including NJ) have changed their minimum wage effective 1/1/07. If you don’t have the new wage posted by 1/1/07, you could be found in violation of the state requirement.
